 | | If this were an actual R.A.P.S. website, this sidebar might contain a promotional image as a "teaser" for the event along with some brief description. Based on the information supplied to us, we will create a Home Page that (in our humble opinion) best showcases the nature of the event being portrayed. HirMon & Associates, Inc. is the supplier of R.A.P.S. websites and to visit out "parent’s website," click the logo above. |
| | The Concept - This idea is for event promoters that recognize the importance of having a promotional website to market an event in today’s world -- but have limited funding. Rent A Promotional Site (R.A.P.S.) are websites we set up for the promotion of special events. We do most of the work, which allows the event organizers to focus on what’s important: promoting the event. It always comes down to cost. Few small/intermediate event promoters can justify the cost of having a dedicated promotional website created. Even organizations with a website can find getting the promotional information installed on their site can often (and sadly) be more trouble than it’s worth. R.A.P.S. websites "don’t care" how big/small and event is or how often it runs. They can support a one-time-event or an annual fundraiser equally with high-end features that no "information only" website (created in-house or by a third-party) can ever hope to duplicate. All for a price few (if any) developers can match. What’s Included - All R.A.P.S. websites are turn-key, ready to use and include: - A domain name of your choosing (subject to availability)
- The web hosting to run the site up for up to 4 months (extendable to 1 year)
- The site itself, set up with your contents.
- Plus - features you would never expect, like: content management, additional pages for information, online silent/bid-based auction services, sponsor services -- and even a full, fixed-rate shipping-based shopping cart!
The Cost -The cost of leasing a R.A.P.S. website is - $400 for all of the above and more. An Example Site - This website is a R.A.P.S. website. Everything shown on the navigation links except the items under RAPS Info -- is the minimum included with every site. What’s not obvious about R.A.P.S. websites is that there is a full Administrative console that allow event staffers to update the entire website in-house -- or not -- it’s your choice! (More) Feel free to take look around this site (please do)! Explanations and rationales for the various pages are presented within them in green text. Don’t believe it? Go to http://www.RAPSNowDemo.info/scripts/admin/admin.php - that’s the Administration Console for a separate R.A.P.S.-based website you can actually change online. You can see that demonstration site by itself at: http://www.RAPSNowDemo.info (And, yes, it is a R.A.P.S. design website.) | | | R.A.P.S. It’s real and it’s available now! | | | An R.A.P.S. website for the Area 3 Events Committee of Rotary District 5450. |
| From our clients: ... I love the way this all works. All those changes only took about 10 minutes. Awesome. R.P. Compared to what I have to do to keep a similar list on my Wordpress site up-to-date, keeping track of our Silent Auction items is a breeze! PM
| | | And in case you are curious, yes, that "popup" that appeared when you first accessed this page is included in all R.A.P.S. websites. Like all the other contents of a R.A.P.S. website, the popup can be maintained (and turned off or on) by in-house staffers. |
